User created content on the web

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC8GXxT4vuw
The user created this content on the page just for fun i believe. It's from the OC show on fox and there are tons of spinoff spoofs. Hilarious. People might want to use it to show their friends as I do.

This is my personal myspace page. I created this because basically just about everyone has one and to keep in touch with people from like high school and work. Other people would like to access it to communicate with me.

http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/NFL_Czar
This is a blog. Nfl experts post questions and their answers and then let users (us) go on and make their own comments about the experts opinion. This blog was created basically for personal interest. A guy post a question and has something to say about it, and people basically get ticked off at what they say (usually). People like to access it to voice their opinion and argue with the expert.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/?sid=1
This is a discussion forum. People create these to help eachother out with questions and different people try give their best answer. People like to access it to find answers and help with their problems. It's somewhere they feel comfortable and they can relate.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia
This is a place where users can find out definitions and information about subjects. The tricky thing is is that if you are looking for a fact, you might be misled here. People can go into these answers and change them to their liking and even lie. One example is sometime last year someone posted an article that the actor "Sinbad" had died. The next day a reporter asked Sinbad how it was to be dead. This source is very unreliable. People use this site for information but they may have to do their own research first or at least have an understanding of the topic first.

Internet Fraud

The method that I used was Yahoo.com. I typed in what is internet fraud and got many websites. I chose the method because I like how yahoo is set up more than the way google is. Thats the site that I have always used so I guess its just a habit. The sites I used are as followed:
www.streetdirectory.com/.../whats_with_all_this_fraud_on_the_internet.html
www.worrells.net.au/factsheets/InternetFrauds.htm
www.ftc.gov/os/1998/02/internet.test.htm

I believe that they are trustworthy sites because they are from good sources like schools and directories.

I think it would be better to use google docs over a regular desktop application when you don't have to do research and you are ready to start typing immediately. The desktop is better when you have a lot of research to do because when you have a lot of sites opened up you can tell which are sites (on the bottom of the screen) and which is your paper.

Google

The advantages of have the google page is that it has all of your personal preferences on it and and you can do it whatever with it. Instead of going on and typing in every website that you would visit on a daily basis, you can just have it on your google page and it can direct you right to it. It makes things easier.

Spyware

Spyware is software that covertly gathers user information through the user's internet connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers.

Spyware is pretty much relevant to everyone. It's relevant to me because I really don't want someone going through my personal stuff on my computer. An example is Ebay. I use Ebay quite a lot and when I buy something I must use my credit card. If I have spyware on my computer then it could take my credit card number and distribute it to whoever it wants to. Then my credit card is going to be taken on a shopping spree without me knowing until I see the big, fat bill!!

The search method that gave me the most results was definitely google.com by millions. It also gave me the most results that were more relevant to this assignment. The search engine that gave me the most valid results was googlescholar.com. Least valid was the ohiolink search engine. I think that google.com is best to be used for homework and self interest, while google scholar would be good for reports and for important data. The ohiolink is best to be used for finding articles, books, etc.
